Let's hope that announcing it won't jinx it: it looks like Felix is potty trained! It's finally happening after months of being close-but-not-quite. He hasn't had an accident in several days and today was his first day at school in underwear, though he'll still wear a diaper at night for a while. Two things finally made a difference:
- He is getting physically too big for the biggest size diapers. He complains that the diapers are riding up his butt. He finally faced the fact that something had to be done.
- We taught him how to take off his pants by himself. For a while now, he would use the potty by himself if he was naked; but if he was dressed, he would go in his pants instead of asking for help.
Milo is still having a hard time adjusting to nanny Delia. Felix loves her, though: she has babysitted a few nights and proved to be a worthy Lego builder. In fact, Felix has a solution to Milo's reluctance to be separated from Lucie: "I know! Mom can go to the playground with Milo, and I can stay home with Delia!"
Felix enjoys his baby brother. Friday is bring-a-toy-from-home day at the Snuggery. This week, Felix told Milo "I am going to take you to school and put you in my cubby, because you are my favorite toy!" In the end he settled for Jacob Jeremy, his baby doll.
Dean is enjoying his job. Lucie would like to enjoy some freelance jobs, if only Milo would adjust to Delia!
